Google can be
soooo much fun sometimes. I can entertain myself for hours
googling up obscure combinations of words and seeing what I
get.
After finding yesterdays webtip I stumbled on a
pro-electroshock site. The story of Electroboy. Despite the nifty name he
goes by, the site just wasn't quite right. So I googled
one more time.
That's when I found Solvent Paranoia.
What a perfect end to the week. Paranoia AND flash all wrapped
up into one nifty little package. A package that makes no
sense, offers no games, no tips, and no forums.
Nothing except a series of obscure little oneliners,
macabre animations, and an interesting look into the mind of a
complete stranger.
I had
originally planned on spending this week exploring the depth
of the web for entertaining examples of applied paranoia.
Unfortunately, I seem to keep getting side tracked by nifty
Flash stuff.
Ultrashock is yet another Flash portal.
There are the usual games and animations, as well as tutorials
on subjects from Flash to After Effects.
One nice
aspect of ultrashock is the collection of open source FLA's.
Looking at other peoples code can sometimes be a big help when
trying to figure out new tricks. Using other peoples code can
be a big help when utterly clueless, or pressed for time.
Enough of this, I have some animations to work on....
Is the online
presentation of works from more than 150 artists around the
world. Collected and exhibited in the framework of the
VioLENS Festival in August of this year, the collected works
exhibit reactions to the role mass media plays in the
promotion of violence.
Presented in the context of a
virtual violence conglomeration, the exhibit is broken into
several categories. Violence Marketing has a collection of
videos, Violence Net the various Internet projects. Some of
the other groupings include Violence Marketing, Violence
Press, and my personal favorite, Violence for Happiness.
As much as I would love to find more animations like
BoobyTrap, it just isn't that easy. I would guess maybe one out of
every five animations I have looked at are actually worth
considering for a webtip.
Which brings us to today's tip.
ShockAnime is a collection of Anime and Manga based flash and
shockwave animations. None of them really quite cut it compared to
the real thing, but there are some damn good attempts, including one
of last weeks webtips, BrokenSaints.
The site doesn't stop at
being a showcase though. A nice collection of resources and
tutorials for the budding flashmeister are the true treasures here.
So if you want me to suggest more great animations like
BoobyTrap or Broken Saints, you're going to have to help me out.
Check out today's site, fire up flash and start making the next
flash masterpiece.
Any conspiracy freak who takes his (or hers) psychosis
seriously knows that Elvis is flipping burgers in a McDonalds in St.
Petersburg.
Of course, people who refuse to accept reality
and continue to believe in the myth of a dead Elvis may find it
easier to deal with a virtual Elvis. That's where today's webtip
comes in.
Virtual Elvis gives you a pretty young Elvis from
his glory days. You can choose a stage setting reminiscent of his
greatest films, and there is a nice selection of some of his more
tasteful costumes. Dress him up, move him around, and make him say
the things you want to hear. Would you like some fries with
that?
Oh Boy. This is a hard one to describe. A flash based
interactive movie? Game? Music video? No idea.
Call it
what you want, this nifty little piece of animated art shows what
can be done with a digital camera, the right filters and photoshop /
Illustrator actions, and flash.
Start the video, click on
something when you are asked, and watch the results. Oh yeah, the
soundtrack is by the Chemical Brothers.

Flashmovies veröffentlichen und sicher gehen das es von ganz vielen Leuten
gesehen wird (außer es is so mies das es kurz nach dem mans eingeschickt
